宮創製陶所は、100年以上の歴史を持つ九谷焼の置物製陶所です。
創業以来、九谷焼の置物づくりに真摯に向き合い、時代とともに培われてきた技術と感覚を受け継いできました。私たちのものづくりの根底には、先人たちから引き継いだ経験と技があります。
それらは、現在の制作においても変わらぬ基盤として息づいています。一方で、九谷焼の未来を持続させていくためには、守るだけではなく、更新していく姿勢も必要だと考えています。
異業種との協業や、これまでの九谷焼業界の常識にとらわれない試みを通じて、現代にふさわしい新たな表現と可能性を探り続けています。伝統に敬意を払いながら、静かに、そして確かに次の時代へ。
宮創製陶所は、いまの感覚に響き、未来へとつながる九谷焼をかたちにしていきます。
MIYASOU is a Kutani ware pottery studio with a history spanning more than one hundred years, rooted in the tradition of figurative ceramics.
From its beginnings, the studio has been dedicated to creating ornamental Kutani ware, cultivating techniques and sensibilities passed down through generations. These accumulated skills form the foundation of our work today.
At the same time, we believe that sustaining the future of Kutani ware requires more than preservation alone. By engaging in collaboration across different industries and embracing perspectives beyond conventional frameworks, we continue to explore new expressions and possibilities for Kutani ware in a changing world.
Respecting tradition while remaining open to transformation, we work quietly and deliberately—seeking forms of craftsmanship that resonate with the present and extend toward the future.
Through our practice, we aim to contribute to the continuity and evolution of Kutani ware, creating works that carry both heritage and intention into the next generation.

For more than 100 years since our establishment, we have carried on the traditions and techniques of Kutaniyaki figurines.
In order to ensure that this proud culture is passed on to the next generation, we hereby declare that we will establish Kutani Yaki Okimono Seisakusho as a “sustainable industry.

Our Approach
Craftsman training and succession / We will focus on training young craftsmen and pass on traditional techniques.
Cooperation with the local community / We will deepen our cooperation with the local community, including the local town of Yawata-cho, and enhance the value of the local industry.
Environmental Consideration / We will build a sustainable production system by promoting resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact in the manufacturing process.
Creation of new value / We will convey the new appeal of Kutani-yaki ceramic figurines by proposing designs and applications that suit modern lifestyles.
