宮創製陶所には100年以上にわたり先代たちが残してくれた型押し（おこし型）、鋳込み（鋳込み型）による成形の技術があり、その両型と小松市の八幡にある『花坂原石山』から取れた陶石（花坂陶石）で作られた粘土を使用し素地づくりを行なっています。

MIYASOU uses the molding techniques of mold pressing (okoshi mold) and casting (kokomi mold) that have been handed down over 100 years by previous generations, and uses these molds and clay made from Hanasaka pottery stone from Hanasaka Harashiyama in Yawata, Komatsu City to make the base material.

宮創製陶所ではオリジナル釉薬を開発。 素地で使われている花坂陶石の残土を利用し、艶のないざらざらした（マットな）質感に仕上がる釉薬で、現代のインテリアやライフスタイルに九谷の伝統を最適化させることをコンセプトに、これまでの九谷焼には存在しないカラーを展開。

MIYASOU has developed an original glaze. The glaze, which utilizes the residual soil of Hanasaka pottery stone used in the base material to create a rough (matte) texture with no gloss, was developed with the concept of optimizing the Kutani tradition for contemporary interiors and lifestyles, and colors that have never existed in Kutani ware before.
